Pastoral Counselling—Caring for, and healing the soul

Mankind is a beautiful, yet fragile creation. While walking the road of life, we can sometimes lose our footing. Life might not always turn out the way we expect, and at times, finding meaning can be elusive.

In such times of difficulty, conversation with one's pastor can provide the guidance needed to help find one's path again. Pastoral counselling is a way of caring for, and healing, the soul. Just as our bodies can succumb to illness, burdens can trouble our souls. By discussing the burdens of life in a pastoral setting, one can discover how these burdens might be lifted.

Pastoral counselling is not only appropriate in times of crisis, and there are many valid reasons for seeking the advise of one's pastor. One might simply wish to discuss life and the meaning of life, and this is also welcome.

Under Ontario law, anything discussed with the pastor is strictly confidential. This trust is of the utmost importance, and whatever is said will remain between the pastor and whomever seeks counselling.
