Folkdancing is preservation of culture and provides excellent activity for body and soul.
The Toronto Swedish Folkdancers welcomes people born in Sweden, those of Swedish ancestry
and those who have an interest in Swedsish dance and culture. The mission of the Folkdancers
is to preserve and pass on the rich heritage of Swedish folkdancing within the Scandinavian
community in the Toronto area.
The Toronto Swedish Folkdancers performs several times a year, both in connection with
church events and on other occasions. The open air service at Sunset Villa, the National
Day celebrations and Midsummer are but a few examples of such performances.
The Folkdancers practice every Wednesday at 8:30 pm at the Agricola Church.
